2018 2019 Reunion
Another wonderful annual reunion dinner has come and gone.  It is heartwarming to know that classmates want to keep in touch with each other and make a special effort to attend our reunion dinner each year.  A special guest attended the dinner -- Mr. Bob Ernst who was the shop teacher during our junior high school days.  He looks terrific and everyone made him feel very welcome.

This year, we did things a little differently.   Last year, we decided to have a buffet in order to not have to keep up with everyone's choices.  That worked out so well that we did the same thing this year.  As usual, the food and service at the Best Western Gateway was excellent.  After dinner, we had our program, emceed by Reed Ellis (who was his usual, sparkling self).  We opted not to show a video this year.  Instead, Mimi and Kit devised a quiz about life at GHS during our years there.  This was great fun and hopefully we can do it again.  For the most part, our memories worked pretty well.  Reed asked four of us to give a brief speech giving thoughts about our years at GHS and an update about our lives after graduation.  Hugh Harling, Peter Maren, Liz Powell and myself participated in this.  The floor was opened to comments and, as usual, there were many funny stories shared.  In the next few days, I am going to attempt to post the photos that Jean Reynolds Truitt took during the evening.  If you were not able to come to the dinner -- you were missed!
